Paid-On Call, Volunteer Firefighter/EMT 


Northfield Area Fire and Rescue Service is currently accepting applications for Paid-On-Call, Volunteer Firefighter/EMTs. Positions require the ability to report to at least 30% of annual fire calls and attend Monday evening fire drills, meetings, and trainings. Candidates within a 10-minute response time to the Fire Station are preferred. Pay and benefits include $25.00 per hour for training/meetings, and fire calls, extremely competitive pension benefits (with satisfactory attendance), and fully paid Firefighter/EMT training tuition and expenses.


Candidates must be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, hold a valid and current Minnesota State Driver’s License, have the ability to read/speak English, and meet physical fitness standards. Physical testing will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8:00am to 12:00pm and is mandatory for all selected candidates. Multilingual applicants are especially encouraged. All offers are contingent on a criminal background check and the ability to show proof of authority to work in the United States.
